Voting to the Glory Of God
“Jesus is not a Republican or Democrat.” So the saying goes. “His kingdom is not of this world!” So goes another. Virtue signals like these have a ring of truth to them, but often they are used to create a moral equivalency between two political parties that are not morally equivalent. Such sentiments may give the appearance of liberating consciences—no questions asked. But in 2024, it’s time to ask some questions. What does Christ’s Lordship have to do with voting? What does Scripture say about the state and our place in it? How should we think about candidates and party platforms in the post-Christian West? In short, how can we vote to the glory of God? Join us this month as Christ Over All considers how to glorify God in the voting booth.
